CO-TechPoint – Warranty Statement
What Is Covered By This Warranty:
CO-TechPoint warrants that this product will be free from any hardware defects when used normally in accordance with the original manufacturer’s published guidelines for a period of 90 days after the date of the original retail purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, CO-TechPoint has the option to repair or replace a function equivalent to the product. Such repair or replacement is subject to verification of the defect or malfunction, along with proof of purchase. Warranty protections are in addition to rights provided under local consumer laws.
What Is Not Covered By This Warranty:
This warranty does not apply to any software malfunctions outside of the operating system. CO-TechPoint does not warrant that the operation of the product will be uninterrupted or error-free. CO-TechPoint is not responsible for damage arising from failure to follow instructions relating to the product’s use provided by the original manufacturer.
This Warranty does not apply: (a) to protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time or batteries, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (c) to damage caused by use with a third party component or product that does not meet the product’s original manufacturer’s specifications; (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, liquid contact, earthquake or other external cause; (e) to damage caused by operating the product outside the original manufacturer’s published guidelines; (f) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of CO-TechPoint; (g) to a CO-TechPoint product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; (h) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the product; (i) if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the product; or (j) if CO-TechPoint receives information from relevant public authorities that the product has been stolen or if you are unable to deactivate passcode-enabled or other security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to the product, and you cannot prove in any way that you are the authorized user of the product (eg. by presenting proof of purchase).
IF YOUR PRODUCT IS CAPABLE OF STORING SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA AND OTHER INFORMATION, YOU SHOULD MAKE PERIODIC BACKUP COPIES OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA TO PROTECT THE CONTENTS AND AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST POSSIBLE OPERATIONAL FAILURES. DURING WARRANTY SERVICE IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE CONTENTS OF THE PRODUCT’S STORAGE MEDIA WILL BE LOST, REPLACED OR REFORMATTED. IN SUCH AN EVENT CO-TECHPOINT AND ITS AGENTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE PRODUCT SERVICED.
